February 19, 1943. SCOUTING SQUADRON 6-d14 MEMORANDUM FOR: Lt(jg) Roy W. Fletcher Jr. Subject: Enlisted Personnel at Kodiak. 1. The recommendations for advancement in ratings in yours of February 12th have been noted & will be given consid- eration. 2. It would not be advisable to forward to Kodiak the health records & pay accounts of our enlisted men there. I under- stand that it is planned to shift these men to the Dutch Harbor sub- sector. I received this information from Lt. Com. Innis. 3. Thorpe wrote Sailer with regard to Glade's pay account. Glade's statement has been checked by the Disbursing Officer here, & his comments were forwarded to Thorpe on Feb. 12th. His con- clusion was that Glade's calculation was erroneous. We are awaiting further word if Glade is not clear about it, or feels the Disbursing Officer is wrong. I assume you may have received by now my letter in- forming you that Glade was rated ARM3/c on Feb. 1st. 4. The following men state that they were detailed to mess cooking at Afognak for a period of two months: STANLEY, Parker L. GOODMAN, Norman Our records fail to show that they have received the extra compen- sation to which they are entitled - $5. per month. In order to claim such compensation for them, we must have the exact dates they per- formed such detail. Please inform us. William H. Rogers
