Subj: Operating Plan Change Order; establish CG Base Kodiak,
Alaska
1. You are hereby authorized to establish CG Base Kodiak, Alaska and
CG RADSTA Kodiak, Alaska as units under operational and administra-
tive control of Commander, Seventeenth Coast Guard District. The
base will be established upon satisfactory turnover of Naval Station
Kodiak to the Coast Guard. Notify the Commandant (OSR) when the
base is established. The radio Station will be established as soon
as practicable.
2. In the interim, a precommissioning detail will be established at
CG Air Station, Kodiak. The prospective commanding officer, Base
Kodiak, will function as the commanding officer of the precommissioning
detail. The initial cadre of personnel will be ordered to the Commanding
Officer, Precommissioning Detail for assignment to duty at Base Kodiak
upon its establishment.
3. OPFAC Unit Number 17-46000 and Activity Address Code Z46000 are
assigned to CG Base Kodiak, OPFAC Unit Number 17-32298 and Activity
Address Code Z32298 are assigned to Radio Station Kodiak. Submit
a Change of Mailing, Freight and Billing Address, CG Form 4183, pro-
vided in the Standard Distribution List, CG-131, at least 30 days in
advance of establishment.
4. The personnel allowances for GC Base Kodiak and CG RADSTA Kodiak
Alaska will be subject of seperate correspondence.
